About us

The journey of Sher Bengal Resort Group began on 4th May 2003, inspired by the passion and culinary excellence of founders Hrishikesh Mandal and Shikha Mandal. Our story started with the launch of our first multicuisine restaurant at Mecheda, located on the NH116 Expressway connecting Haldia and Digha.

In 2005, encouraged by an overwhelming response, we expanded our presence by opening a second restaurant directly opposite the original outlet, marking the beginning of a growing hospitality legacy.

Sher Bengal Mandarmani

In 2017, we took a significant leap by opening our first luxury resort in Mandarmani, a beautiful hotel near the sea beach, with big sea-facing rooms. It has a 30 km private beach.

There is a large swimming pool, a green garden and a restaurant that serving fresh seafood and local cuisine. You can enjoy magical sunrise and sunset views from their private balconies.

Sher Bengal Kolaghat and Darjeeling

Building on this success, we opened a new resort in the picturesque hills of Darjeeling in 2023. Sher Bengal Hotel is located on Mall Road and offers mountain-view rooms along with a rooftop café showcasing breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga and Tiger Hill.
